Face Mask has become an indispenbale protective equipment for human beings since the outbreak of COVID-19 and its spread all across the world, whether or not a Face Mask can effectively protect human body from invasion of viruses and/or bacteria depends on the filtration efficiency of the middle layer cloth of the SMS structure--the meltblown nonwoven fabic, it must filter more than 95% of micro-particles in air with diameters below 2.5 micron, otherwise the Face Mask will be a fiasco and will Not have any efficiency at all for face protection!
To make a high-quality meltblown nonwoven fabric, first of all, you need to choose the right material - Polypropylene Homopolymer with Melt Flow Index of 1500 g/10min which is suitable for meltblown. Besides MFI, other technical data such as Ash Content and Volatile Constituents of the material play important roles in meltblown process, and it must be friendly to both of human body and environment, last but not least, the quality of material must keep stable - lot by lot and day by day - for continuous production of meltblown nonwoven fabrics.
