The meltblown nonwoven fabric which is at the core of a face mask, plays the most important role of viruses and bacteria filtration, it filters more than 95% of micro-particles in air with diameters below 2.5 micron, and determines whether the face mask is a successful of fake product in terms of virus protection.
The first job to make a meltblown nonwoven fabric of top quality is to choose the right material - Polypropylene raw material with Melt Flow Index of 1500 g/10min. Besides MFI, other technical data such as Moisture Content and Volatile Constituents of the material also matter in meltblown process, last but not least, the quality of material must keep stable for continuous mass production.
